RMS: Chapter 43

Chapter 43

“Mr Su, where did you get the membership card to enter the Berlin Paradise through the VIP channel without a body search?” After a series of blows, the current Tang Ka had collected himself a lot more in front of Su Bai. He looked at the calm-looking man beside him, hands in his pockets and full of suspicion.

When Tang Ka first heard of the news that Su Mo was Su Bai’s designated heir, he was surprised for a moment. After all, Su Mo’s background was unbearably clean, and judging from the series of contacts during his time in Hong Kong and the mysterious bastard who knocked him out on the yacht later, Su Mo was clearly a guy who disguised as a pig to eat the tiger.

“The Su family’s properties belong to me, it’s normal for me to have a VIP card.” Master Su gave a small smile and turned his head to look at Tang Xiao, “How is your gambling skill?”

“Although I don’t have a particular love for gambling, my skills are definitely on top.”

“Then I’ll leave Su Qichen to you later.”

“This is his turf, are you sure he won’t cheat?” Tang Xiao believed in his own skills but doubted that he could beat his host’s cheating. If this was under normal conditions he could run amok, but at this time they were on a mission and could not be so reckless.

“Little Piggy Su loves two things; one is making money, and the other is gambling. For a true gambler cheating is something he would be ashamed of. Win his money, but remember the winnings will be treated as my payment to you for the work.” Master Su was not generous enough to let an outsider win the Su’s money.

“My dear, I thought we were family.”

“Brothers make clear deals.”

“Alright, I’ll have to step up my game later then.”

The tables in Berlin Paradise were far apart from each other, bringing a degree of privacy to the customers. Just as a restaurant has standard rooms as well as presidential suites, the casino had a lobby segregated for ordinary customers and an exclusive casino area where only VIPs could enter.

The staff asked them to wait after checking the special VIP card in the man’s hand and not long afterwards, the staff brought back the news.

“Mr Su invites you in. Please follow me, gentlemen.”

It was an extremely open room so luxuriously decorated that it smelled like money. A gambling table was placed right in the middle of the room and a few people were sitting around the table. Su Qicheng, a Chinese, was very conspicuous sitting with foreigners. When Tang Xiao saw Su Qicheng, he suddenly thought of Su Mo when he was still fat before, they looked quite similar.

He had short black hair and was as chubby as a big white bun. The pampered life had made Su Qicheng look very good, a healthy redness to his skin. He was surrounded by beautiful women of all skin colours with the funny fact that every one of them was voluptuous. He was beaming with joy, probably just winning a hand of cards.

“Sorry guys, my VIPs are here.” Seeing Su Bai and the others, Su Qicheng put down his cards and stood up. When he was sitting it was hard to tell, but the man was very tall when he stood up. Tang Xiao retracted his earlier comment about Su Qicheng; not a big white bun but a polar bear.

The few guests at the table did not express displeasure at him leaving, judging from the way they quietly wiped their sweat they were clearly relieved and cast a sympathetic and pitiful look at Tang Xiao and the others.

“Please sit down, three of you, together? What are you betting on?” Su Qicheng smiled and surveyed the three people in front of him, there were usually two types of people who held VIP cards; those who were big shots in the black and white world, and those who had a great relationship with the Su family. It happened that the latter had VIP cards that only the head of the Su family could issue.

The VIP card in Master Su’s hand naturally belonged to the latter.

Tang Ka raised his hands to indicate that he was on the sidelines, and Su Bai had no interest in betting on a hand.

“Twenty-one points is fine.” In the end, only Tang Xiao remained, sitting opposite Su Qicheng.

“Okay, just twenty-one.” Su Qicheng snapped his fingers and the staff started dealing the cards.

“I wonder what the few of you call yourselves?” Su Qicheng opened his cards and looked at them: a jack and a seven.

Tang Xiao did not turn over his cards, “Tang Xiao.”

Su Qicheng gestured for the staff to continue dealing the cards as he looked playfully at the man opposite him, his eyes glowing, “Ah, no wonder I was thinking I seemed to have seen you somewhere, so you are the rich man from Asia. Mr. Tang, it seems we have forgotten to set the amount of the bet.”

“Ten million dollars.”

“US dollars?”

“Certainly not in Vietnamese currency.” Tang Xiao beckoned and Tang Ka handed over the casino chips he had just exchanged: a total of one hundred million dollars.

He pushed in ten million dollars in chips, “I demand a card.”

“Haha, sorry. A jack, a seven and a three, twenty points for me and twenty points for you, unfortunately I’m the dealer, bad luck for Mr. Tang to start the game.” The fat man laughed so hard that the flesh on his face twitched, and he nonchalantly stood up to wrap up a total of forty million chips in front of himself. Glancing out of the corner of his eye at Su Bai who had been sullenly silent next to him, the latter happened to look over towards him as well, the faintly hooked corners of his mouth lightly smiling causing Su Qicheng to almost fall on the table in shock.

“Haha, sorry, slippery feet.” Su Qicheng laughed dryly twice, took a tissue and began to wipe the cold sweat on his forehead.

As it turned out, opening the door to a win was not necessarily a victory that would last until the end. The next three hands had Su Qicheng experience three explosions in a row, which caused cold sweat to start to break out furiously on his face.

“I’m so sorry, I won again.” On the fourth hand, Tang Xiao came up with a blackjack.

Su Qicheng was obviously a little distracted, peeking over towards Su Bai every now and then, and immediately turning his head like a frightened bunny as soon as he came into contact with the other party’s eyes.

“Little fatty Su, am I that scary?” Taking a sip of the golden yellow tea in his cup, Master Su opened his mouth indifferently.

“You, what did you just call me?” Su Qicheng was almost caught steadying the cards in his hand as he stared intently at Su Bai for a moment, before waving his hand for the bevy of plump beauties beside him to leave.

“You’re not here to gamble, who told you to come?” The fatty’s face went cold, and it looked like he tried to make himself more dignified for a bit, but Su Bai’s next words completely shattered the majesty he had managed to establish.

“Little fatty Su, are you not going to address your fourth uncle?”

Tang Ka stared at Su Qicheng and then Su Bai with a pair of widened eyes, what the fuck was going on? What fourth uncle?

Not just him, Su Qicheng was also shouting in his heart, what the hell is going on here?! Why does this man look so much like his fourth uncle! He also knew that his fourth uncle usually liked to call him “Little Fatty Su”!

“Nonsense, how can you be my fourth uncle!”

Master Su stood up and walked towards Su Qicheng, and several bodyguards standing in the corner of the room had moved to have their guns pointed at him. Tang Xiao narrowed his eyes.

“I’m just kidding with you, don’t get so excited, relax.” Su Bai laughed softly and pointed at the bodyguards in the room, “How about getting all your dogs out and we talk alone?”

“This joke is not funny, why should I talk to you guys?”

“Wait, let me introduce myself.” Tang Ka raised his hand and pulled his collar with panache, “Tang Ka, a member of the Southeast Asia branch of the mercenary organisation T.”

Su Qicheng frowned as he waved his hand in silence for his men to put away their guns and stand down.

“You are T’s subordinates?” Su Qicheng looked at Su Bai, his eyes filled with disbelief, “You are the man my fourth uncle appointed to take over?”

“I will be solely responsible for this mission this time.” Tang Xiao walked over and handed the information he had already prepared to Su Qicheng, offering a mature and steady charming smile, “Master Su once said that if this mission needed someone to assist in its completion, you, Mr. Su Qicheng, would be the most trustworthy person.”

Fatty Su looked down at the information and looked up at Tang Xiao, “Fourth Uncle… Fourth Uncle really said that?”

“That’s right, he said that you are his most beloved nephew.” Tang Xiao glanced at Su Bai next to him, who winked slyly at him.

“Fourth uncle, woo… I… My fourth uncle…,” unsurprisingly, Su Qicheng burst into tears. Big fat white palms wiped his tears while choking, “How could he go like that, although he always said I was so fat that I was almost a polar bear, and liked to use his feet to step on my stomach, knock my head with a smoking gun and pinch my face…”

Su Qicheng began to cry, but it sounded more like he was exposing how Su Bai had “abused” him before.

Su Bai clenced his teeth. Who asked you to look like that, with a belly soft like dough, making him want to step on it every time he saw it.

“Master Su, so you have a good taste for this.” Tang Xiao leaned in and laughed softly in the man’s ear.

Su Bai smiled, lifting his foot to step on Tang Xiao’s foot, twisting it hard twice in the process, “No one will take you for a mute if you don’t speak.”

Tang Ka stood next to Su Qicheng, pulling out a tissue and handing it over. Why was this large polar bear so weepy?

“I believe you guys, with Fourth Uncle so sinister and cunning he can’t not leave a backstroke to deal with that black dog Chen Yuan,” taking the tissue and blowing his nose hard, Su Qicheng surveyed Su Bai with red eyes and said seriously, “No wonder Fourth Uncle chose you as the heir, you are so much like him. “

Su Qicheng’s side went unexpectedly well. No wonder Su Bai chose to meet in Berlin, Germany from the beginning. It turned out that he had long aimed at Su Qicheng.

On the way back, the three sat in the stretched Cadillac, Tang Ka quietly moved to Su Bai’s side and looked up and down at the man.

“You… wouldn’t be Su Bai, would you?” He asked in a whisper.

Tang Xiao who was smoking a cigar almost choked, not by shock, but by surprise; the sinewy Tang Ka finally found Su Bai different? How rare it was that his cousin had grown up too.

Master Su twisted his head towards Tang Ka and smiled gently, “What if I said I was?”

Tang Ka hurriedly moved back and fell backwards with his hands covering his eyes, “I’ve long heard that everyone in the Su family is crazy, and now it seems to be true! Don’t think you can fool me just because you’ve secretly been trained by Su Bai, telling ghost stories you!”

Nevermind, Tang Xiao thought, his cousin was still a stick in the mud.
