Chapter 3, Pure White Wings

By this time, Zhan Yi had already reached the entrance of the 13th train station. The collar of his black leather jacket was pulled very high, covering half of his face. Removing his helmet, Zhan Yi went down the stairs into the platform, taking off his gloves along the way.

As soon as he got into the station, he frowned slightly. There was a very weird smell here.

“Zhan Yi?”

Lan Luo smiled and thought it was interesting, so he followed in.

Zhan Yi went all the way forward, the smell more and more strong, it was the bad smell of blood, had some stink.

“There’s no smell of fear this time.” Lan Luo followed Kai. “It smells like the blood of a dead man.”

The mutated one, Kai remembered, was the one who had escaped from them before, and the other, dressed like the one who had just set off the bomb.

“They seem to have their necks twisted.” Lan Luo squatted down and thought it was incredible. He looked up at Zhan Yi and said, “Do you think it was a slippery foot that killed them?”

Zhan Yi frowned and stared at the corpses.

Kai also felt puzzled because he could not smell the scents of any other human or vampire!

All of a sudden, with a gentle wave of his hands, Zhan Yi reached out to the other side of the cave… There was a line of footprints on the dusty ground. Those were a human’s footprint. Looking at the size, it seemed to be an adult man. According to the pacing, that man should be quite tall!

Kai and Lan Luo looked at each other, but they still did not smell anything unusual! What was the footprint left by? A person? Or a vampire?

Zhan Yi followed the footprints and eventually stopped at a corner in of the tunnel where it turned darker. When he raised his head, he saw a figure flashing by ahead and hurried after it.

It was too late for Kai to catch up. Turning around the corner, Zhan Yi had disappeared into the dark tunnel.

Zhan Yi was chasing the figure and turning several corners, the figure disappeared. He frowned, that man moved faster than vampires, and there was no odor left behind… Just as he was confused, a low voice came close to his ear. “What kind of scent do you want to smell?”

Before he could turn back, a snow-white arm went around his waist. He subconsciously retaliated with his elbow, but was avoided by the person behind. Then a lock of long, snow-white hair fell down to the front of his chest, accompanied by a low laugh. “My luck isn’t bad.”

As the voice fell, Zhan Yi felt the collar of his leather jacket pulled apart. Then a dull pain came from his neck. Sharp teeth had penetrated the skin and it felt very clear.

A feeling of dizziness rushed up. Zhan Yi felt his blood rushing to his neck. The nausea of blood loss made him unable to think for a moment.

“Oh?”

Before his consciousness dissipated, he saw only the white tip of the man’s hair slide across his cheek, as if someone was gently licking his neck wound.

“Sorry, I didn’t realize you were a Black Jie.”

Zhan Yi’s mind suddenly cleared for an instant, opened his eyes, and saw a face he had never seen before. Pale skin and beautiful lilac pupils. Snow-white hair covered the ground, just like the snow outside, a pure white.

Zhan Yi went back to his condominium. When he opened the door, he felt woozy and fell asleep lying on the sofa.

He did not know how long he slept for until he was woken up by the sound of the television.

It was not known when the digital TV in his home was turned on. It was very noisy and seemed to be playing a TV drama. There was laughter and clicking sounds.

Moving up, right on the corner sofa beside him, sat a man, smiling and watching TV, holding a bag of potato chips in his hand.

The man looked very young, in his twenties at most. He was tall and thin, wearing Zhan Yi’s white shirt and casual pants, his feet dangling with a pair of white slippers. The short white hair looked very casual, deep facial features, lilac eyes…

“You?” Zhan Yi bounced up violently, staring at the man.

The bullet shot through the sofa, and the man disappeared. Feeling breathing behind him, Zhan Yi turned quickly and the gun pointed at the man’s forehead.

“Reaction’s pretty quick, expected for a Black Jie.” The man touched his chin indifferently. “Speaking of which, I’ve never seen a Black Jie before. I didn’t think they could really survive. As beautiful as the records say.”

“Who on earth are you?”

“You said just now that I’m not human, and now you ask me who I am?”

Zhan Yi had no patience to continue quarreling with him and kept away the gun. “Then go away, I have no time to talk nonsense with you.”

The man sat down with a laugh, leaned over and whispered, “My name is Bai Yu. I’m lazing on you now. You have to feed me, clothe me and let me stay.”

“And for what reason?” Zhan Yi thought it was ridiculous. So, this man was called Baiyu… …

Bai Yu was supporting his chin with one hand, and Zhan Yi noticed that he wore an old ruby ring on his index finger. Although it was very old, it gave a very precious and noble feeling. The red jewel shine, along with the pale face, gave feelings of evilness and devilishness…

Zhan Yi once again determined that this man was absolutely not human, but what race did he belong to?

“I can do anything for you.” Bai Yu’s voice was a little lower, with an inexplicable appeal, “Anything!”

Zhan Yi was silent for a moment, and got closer, also supporting his face with one hand, and met the man face to face.

Bai Yu stared at the delicate face of Zhang Zhan Yi, and saw his lips open slightly. He said two words, “Get out.”
